Chalepas: Poster Design (2022)
Created in 2022 as part of a university graphic design assignment, this poster was designed for the theatrical production Chalepas.
The project explores bold typography, visual hierarchy, and composition to create a distinctive theatrical poster. A series of realistic mockups demonstrates how the design could be displayed in various urban settings, from bus stops to outdoor advertising stands, bringing the poster into a real-world context.
Personal Notes & Reflection
This was my first project where I used bold typography as the main visual element. My biggest challenge was arranging the information across different levels of hierarchy, making sure the poster was both visually engaging and easy to read.
It was quite an experimental process, as I spent a lot of time adjusting the placement of individual elements to guide the viewer's eye through the information in the right order.
The colour palette was also intentional. The dark tones reflect the artist's darker, more troubled side, while the turquoise blue references the crystal-clear waters of Tinos, his birthplace.
